I've wanted to write screenplays since long before 2009, when I joined. But it took me another year to fully accept that wanting to become lost in a good visual story -- and correspondingly, wanting to write stories that encourage people to become lost in them -- is natural, healthy, and fine. How could I have ever thought otherwise?

I grew up in a very creative family full of musicians and artists. From an early age I became obssesed with photography and was determined to carve out a career as a photographer when I grew up. When I left school I enrolled on a audio visual course and eventually I found myself being far more fasinated with the moving film part of the course we where required to do rather than the photography part.
