Thanks for your email about self-defense for film-makers. I found it quite informative. Obviously written by a lawyer, but informative none-the-less. :)

Thanks for the kind words about "A Dangerous Mind". You're right, a lot of people didn't get it. But it's still interesting to see everyone's interpretation. I'm just glad that most people have liked it and have even read it multiple times.
Well, obvious candidates:

J-lo
Penelope Cruz
Salma Hayak (sp?)

I have a friend from old UCLA days who is Latina and film maker, I'll ask. If you're serious about producing it, it might be good to send to these big names and a few smaller names to see if they would get behind it.

No problem. I enjoy doing it and look forward to your next work. Matadora is a really great story and it's the adapting part that is so hard. I've been working on the true story of a resistance movement inside WWII Japanese American internment camp and it's taken me like 5 years to get the story to work in a film format. And it goes on... Who do you imagine playing Matadora?

I just started doing reviews with trigger street and reviewed Matadora. I would love to hear if you have any feedback (what was helpful and not). I've done coverage before but it's been a while, so want to make sure that the comments are helpful.
jwest - thanks, it's a little depressing, isn't it?

The thing is, I saw 2 things happen while taking the photo. There were two sets of people I recognized from the audience at the movie; they were both sitting close to me.

One was a little kid, who somehow didn't process what he just saw and tossed a cup on top of that garbage pile. His parents were a bit oblivious and just kept going.

Another was a couple ... just as one girl was about to toss a plastic bottle on top of the pile, her girlfriend said, "Sweetheart, we can recycle that at home and we're a few minutes away. Jeez, did we see the same movie?" That's a bit of a paraphrase, but she took the plastic bottle home. Or at least, I hope she did.
