I liked Recession Proof and I think It's pretty good. I also think the story has a chance to be great. I think maybe it should be darker. I find some of the humor a little dark and sometimes dry, which I love. The plot screams dark comedy but It seemed a little too light-hearted to me. One thing I would like to see is the murder to not be accidental.

Ahhh, I now understand the opening scene, thanks for clearing that up. As for page 36 (and other parts) I read the other reviews and think that the story definitely appeals to a certain audience. Readers who aren't a part of that audience, unfortunately, probably will be turned off by certain elements. But pretty much every movie's like that. For example, when the film August Rush came to theaters, I found that clipping my toenails was a much better use of my time.
Also, glad to see my ratings counted. I was worried for a moment there, racking my brain. "I could have sworn it said I passed the eligibility test ..."
Please, continue writing, you're good at it.
